  Let's start with the fact that there is no "model 1898 Springfield." The US Military rifle made at the Springfield armory as the "Model of 1898" is better known as the Krag-Jorgensen (readily identified by the box magazine on the right side of the receiver, instead of underneath).
  
  Up until the late 80's, Springfield Armory (actually Springfield, Inc, and no
  relation to the old government armory) imported the Mauser M98, and in 1995 the CZ 98.
  I am uncertain as to the markings on those guns, however.
  If you have the Mauser or CZ, you have a utility / hunting rifle of value to shooters, but not collectors.
  
  
  If you have a Krag-Jorgensen, get it examined and
  appraised before you even think of selling it.

  I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something
  to maybe grab people's attention? I mean What
  kind of financial advice do you give? is a little plain. You
  should look at Yahoo's home page and note how they create post headlines to get people to open the links.
  You might add a video or a picture or two to get readers excited about everything've got to say.
